Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS — ADV Helmet With Brain Protection
The MX-9 Adventure is Bell's ADV-focused full-face. It covers the dual-sport use case: peak visor for off-road debris, face shield for road riding, and MIPS for rotational impact protection you won't find in most helmets at this price.
Materials & Vegan Verification
Polycarbonate/ABS shell composite. Moisture-wicking antimicrobial liner — synthetic microfibre, fully removable and washable. No leather, suede, or animal-derived materials anywhere. Bell's material spec sheets confirm this across the MX-9 Adventure range.

Why MIPS Matters
MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) adds a low-friction layer between the shell and the EPS liner. In angled impacts — the most common type in real-world crashes — MIPS reduces rotational forces transmitted to the brain by up to 40% versus non-MIPS helmets at equivalent price points. It's not standard in the €200 price bracket.
ADV Use Case
The peak visor is detachable for full road use. The face shield is dual-pane (two separate lenses) which reduces fogging — useful for early morning riding or temperature transitions. Vents work better with the peak on (redirects air into chin vent channel).

Vegan Verification Notes
Polycarbonate/ABS composite shell. Antimicrobial liner is 100% synthetic microfibre — no leather trim, suede patches, or animal-derived adhesives. Confirmed per Bell material spec documentation.
