Schuberth C5 — German Engineering, Animal-Free
Schuberth builds helmets in Magdeburg, Germany. The C5 is their flagship modular — fibreglass shell, internal sun visor, and a wind-tunnel profile that earns genuine noise reduction figures.
Materials & Vegan Verification
Fibreglass composite shell (no carbon available in C5). Interior lining is Schuberth's Aircomfort padding — polyester microfibre construction throughout. No leather or suede on any component.

Why This Helmet Works
The integrated communication prep (Schuberth SC1 / SENA) and 70 dB noise reduction claim set it apart for touring. PINLOCK 120 is the highest-spec anti-fog insert available — better than PINLOCK 70 or 30.
Modular Considerations
ECE 22.06 certifies the C5 in both open and closed positions. That matters: many modulars are only certified closed. You can legally ride visor-open in most EU jurisdictions with an ECE 22.06-rated modular.
⚠️ Verify current certification at point of purchase — ratings may vary between production runs.
Vegan Verification Notes
Fibreglass composite shell. Aircomfort interior is polyester microfibre — no leather, suede, or animal-derived trim on any production variant.
